SEARA IS AWARDED A CITIZEN COMPANY CERTIFICATE IN IPUMIRIM

The unit partners with the New Paths Program, an initiative that offers education, training

and job opportunities to adolescents in Santa Catarina

Seara unit in Ipumirim, in the state of Santa Catarina, has received the Citizen Company certificate for its involvement in the New Paths Program (“Programa Novos Caminhos“, in Portuguese), an initiative organized by the State Secretariat for Childhood and Youth at the Santa Catarina State Court of Appeals, alongside other institutions.

The purpose of the program is to transform the lives of youngsters over the age of 14 living in shelters, providing them with technical training and offering them job opportunities. The program provides youngsters with individual monitoring programs that determine their educational, qualification and professional training requirements and participation in additional activities.

The training courses are offered by the Federation of Industries from the State of Santa Catarina (FIESC) via the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL), the Brazilian Industrial Social Services (SESI) and the National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI), according to each participant’s profile.

In 2017, two program students from the SENAI unit in the city of Concórdia were given the opportunity to train at the Seara unit located in Ipumirim. Established in 1995, the Ipumirim plant handles poultry slaughter and cutting and produces animal feed.
