JBS already monitor of cattle supply chain and it has now developed a tool for monitoring their suppliers too.
Since 2009, the Monitoring System of JBS evaluates, every day, 80,000 cattle supplier farms in Brazil to prevent illegal deforestation, the use of forced labor, and the invasion of indigenous lands or environmental conservation units, among the Company’s other socioenvironmental criteria. Monitoring is geo-referenced using satellite imagery to cover an area of 85 million hectares, greater than the territory of France, the largest country of Western Europe.
