JBS IS RECOGNIZED AS THE LARGEST EMPLOYER IN BRAZIL, WITH 150,000 EMPLOYEES IN THE COUNTRY

Valor Grandes Grupos Yearbook also recognized the Company in growth rankings by revenue and profit and equity

JBS was recognized as the first largest employer in Brazil, according to the Ranking Geral Grandes Grupos (General Ranking Large Groups), published by the newspaper Valor Econômico. In total, the company reached the mark of 247,787 employees in 2020, being 150 thousand only in the country. In addition to this category, JBS also won 2nd place in the general ranking of Large Groups in relation to other companies mentioned in the yearbook.

The recognition was released in December 2021 and brought information from the 200 largest groups operating in the country. In addition to the general ranking, JBS was recognized in other indicators in the industrial segment: 5th largest in net income, with R$ 4.6 billion; 5th largest in equity, with R$ 43.5 billion; and 13th among the companies with the highest revenue growth in 2020, with a 32% increase.

In 2021 alone, the Company hired more than 38 thousand new employees in the country, which allowed the global reach of almost 250 thousand employees. See the full ranking in portuguese here.
