SEARA UNIT IN IPUMIRIM (SC) RECEIVES CITIZEN COMPANY CERTIFICATE

The certificate was achieved thanks to the Novos Caminhos (New Paths) Program,

offering education and professional training to youngsters

Ipumirim, January 16, 2019 – The Seara unit in Ipumirim (SC) has received the Citizen Company certificate for its involvement in the Novos Caminhos (New Paths) Program, an initiative organized by the State Secretariat for Childhood and Youth at the Santa Catarina State Court of Appeals, alongside other institutions.

The purpose of the program is to transform the lives of youngsters over the age of 14 living in shelters, providing them with technical training and offering them job opportunities. The program provides them with individual monitoring programs that determine their educational, qualification and professional training requirements and participation in additional activities.

The training courses are offered by the Federation of Industries from the State of Santa Catarina (FIESC) via the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL), the Brazilian Industrial Social Services (SESI) and the National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI), according to each participant’s profile.

In 2017, two program students from the SENAI unit in the city of Concórdia were given the opportunity to train at the Seara unit located in Ipumirim. Established in 1995, the Ipumirim plant handles poultry slaughter and cutting and produces animal feed.
