JBS ORGANIZES “RIBS FOR GOOD” EVENT FOR THE HOSPITAL OF LOVE IN BARRETOS

Company set to donate 1.5 tons of beef ribs

 

Sao Paulo, November 14, 2018 – On December 2, during the 4th edition of the Team Penning for Good at the Barrinha Farm, JBS is organizing the “Ribs for Good” charitable event to benefit the Hospital of Love in Barretos, a leading world center for oncology. The barbecue, which is being organized in the city of Espírito Santo do Pinhal, in the interior of São Paulo, will be a “barbecue pit” style event and the company will be donating 1.5 tons of beef ribs. The goal is to raise funds to treat cancer patients by selling tickets for R$ 110 each.

A number of celebrities have confirmed they will be attending, including Barretos champion Leandro Baldisera and country singers Sorocaba, Bruna Viola and Rio Negro.

“It is really gratifying to help this great event for the Hospital of Love in Barretos. Thousands of people are treated free of charge every day and receive world-class, certified quality treatment. The “Ribs for Good” event will symbolically mark our 2018 engagement with the Agriculture Against Cancer campaign. It will also helps us prepare to make a further commitment to the cause in 2019. Our commitment is to help raise funds to save lives”, said Eduardo Pedroso, executive director of Sourcing at JBS

To do a good deed while enjoying a top-flight gastronomic experience, simply buy a ticket at the event’s official website. Anyone who would like to help but is unable to attend can purchase quotas for between R$ 50 (fifty Brazilian reais) and R$ 200 (two hundred Brazilian reais).

Since the beginning of the year, JBS has been engaging its suppliers to contribute R$ 1 (one Brazilian real) to the organization per head of cattle sold to the Company through the “Agriculture Against Cancer” campaign.
