São Paulo, October 25, 2019 – On Wednesday (23), JBS Embalagens Metálicas received one of the industry’s most important awards in Brazil. At the 5th edition of the Abeaço Awards, the Company came first in the “Distinctive Application” category for its canned chicken packaging, developed for Seara.
Launched in the first half of 2019, the total number of cans shipped already represents over 70 tons of poultry protein. This product is for export only.

JBS Embalagens Metálicas also came second place in the Convenience category for the design of one of its cans.
The 5th Steel Packaging Awards is organized by the Brazilian Steel Packaging Association (Abeaço) and judges seven different categories: Convenience, Design, Lithography, Distinctive Application, Packaging Closures and Product Lifecycle Sustainability.
The winners were chosen by a panel made up of design agencies, universities, research institutes, industry representatives and companies involved with reverse logistics. The awards ceremony was held at Vila Bisutti Cardoso de Melo, in São Paulo.
