The division produced around 710 million packaging items for the food and aerosol ranges


São Paulo, January 14, 2019 – JBS Embalagens Metálicas has reported its best operating year. This is how the JBS Novos Negócios division ended 2018, reporting output of approximately 710 million cans. This is up 25% on the average number of cans produced annually over the past years.

“Our performance was highly consistent throughout 2018, when we were setting records every quarter. Our goal for the future is to break the one billion cans a year milestone. We know this is a very ambitious target, but the strong growth we have shown put it within our reach”, said Marcelo Jorcovix, director of the JBS Embalagens Metálicas Division.

The Company’s production lines are concentrated in the interior of the state of São Paulo and it is one of industry’s biggest players in Latin America, making food packaging for items such as vegetables, tomato-based products, coffees, dairy items, conserves, heart of palm, fish and other products. The division also produces aerosol packaging, an area where much of its growth has come from.
