JBS donates hygiene products to indigenous villages

Kits with alcohol gel, sanitizers and liquid soap will support the indigenous community in the fight against coronavirus

Mato Grosso do Sul, March 27th, 2020 – JBS has delivered hygiene products to indigenous villages located nearby its plant in Sidrolândia, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. The distribution was held this Thursday (26) in the city. The kits include alcohol gel, sanitizers and liquid soap. In the occasion, the Company stressed the safety protocols necessary to fight the pandemic and also addressed hygiene and cleaning practices adopted on its Sidrolândia plant, where 30% of the Team Members are indigenous.

As of today, the Company is distributing 2 million soaps in different Brazilian regions. Elderly care facilities near the Company’s plants and favelas in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, as well as JBS Team Members throughout Brazil, will receive a kit with soaps made in the Company’s plant, JBS Higiene & Limpeza, in Lins, in the state of Sao Paulo. The donation will happen until April 4th and is part of JBS’ social responsibility program “Fazer o Bem Faz Bem.”
