São Paulo, September 12, 2019 – The state of Pará is ready to welcome one of the biggest stages of the Nelore Quality Circuit. The initiative, sponsored by the Brazilian Association of Nelore Breeders (ACNB) and Northern Brazil Association of Nelore Breeders (ACNNB), will take place on September 13 and 14 at the Friboi plant in Marabá. The Circuit is also sponsored by Friboi and Matsuda Sementes e Nutrição Animal. 780 animals will be assessed.
“The Quality Circuit is a great opportunity to ascertain animal quality and collect information we can use to improve production techniques. We all know the Nelore breed is of higher genetic quality, but cattle breeders coming to the event will also get a detailed overview of their herd’s strengths and identify areas where there is room for improvement”, said Cicinato Area Leão, President of the ACNNB.
All cattle breeders, ACNB associates or otherwise, can participate in the Nelore Quality Circuit, regardless of herd size or production focus. Lots of 18 animals or higher can be enrolled. ACNB members will also have an opportunity to slaughter animals using the Friboi Natural Nelore Protocol, which offers bonuses of up to R$ 6.50 per arroba at this plant based on carcass characteristics and farm eligibility.
“Friboi is extremely pleased with the results achieved so far. The 2019 edition, the first one we are supporting, is set to be the biggest ever Nelore Circuit”, said Fábio Dias, Friboi’s Farmer Relations Director.
After Marabá, there will be another two Nelore Quality Circuit stages in September: in Diamantino (MT) and Iturama (MG).
