São Paulo, October 18, 2018 – Friboi, market leader and flagship beef producer from Brazil, will attend SIAL Paris, the world’s largest food innovation trade fair taking place at the Paris-Nord Villepint Exposition Park, in Paris, from October 21 to 25. This year, the company will attend the event alongside the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (ABIEC) in a 161 m² stand, showcasing its main brands such as Friboi, Swift Black, Swift, Bordon, Apeti and Mouran while also launching the premium 1953 brand on the international market.

Interacting with different cultures and expectations enables us to detect areas where we can improve our customer service and present solutions for a wide variety of sales channels across the world”, said Felipe Azarias, director of Exports at JBS Carnes.
The executive also highlighted the fact that Brazil has exported a substantial volume of beef in recent years because of its competitive prices, the quality of its raw materials and especially the its continuously improving sanitary compliance, which creates a positive environment to open up new consumer markets. “SIAL is a global showcase for all of our products and the perfect time to capture new businesses”, said Azarias.
Fair visitors will have an opportunity to find out more about the complete Friboi portfolio, especially the 1953 brand, which offers cuts produced by cross-breeding different European breeds. The name 1953 is a reference to the year JBS was founded and the launch is part of the Company’s 65th anniversary celebrations. Exports of new premium product range to Asia, Middle East and Europe are set to begin this year. Elsewhere, accompanying the latest trends, the Company will also launch new pre-cooked 1 and 2.5kg beef and poultry products in the Food Service range under the Swift brand, focusing specifically on the European market.
1953 product range
1953 products are controlled from source and output is based on the highest possible quality standards. Under the slogan “The Evolution of Taste”, the product range focuses on tender, tasty and succulent meat. The brand portfolio includes cuts focusing on standardization and different trimming techniques, including Baby Beef, Rib Eye, Chorizo Steak, Rump, Eye of Rump, Skirt, Sirloin, Filé Mignon, Chuck Eye Roll, Sirloin Steak, Short Loin, Shoulder Steak, Brisket and Short Rib.
Friboi will also be organizing a happy hour for customers during the first two day of the event, from 6 pm to 8 pm, featuring tasting sessions for special 1953 cuts. All dishes will be prepared by Chef Jeferson Finger, from Barbacoa.
