Brazilian and Australian cuts from JBS were highlighted during the awards attended by companies from around the world
Sao Paulo, July 10, 2017 – Angus Friboi, the brand made and sold by JBS in Brazil and exported to various other countries, has just won the gold medal at the World Steak Challenge, which selects the best beef producers in the world. The award underlines the high quality of Angus Friboi products, which offer a unique taste experience using prime cuts from Aberdeen Angus cattle. He awards were held in London and were attended by 120 companies from 17 countries presenting cuts from 25 different breeds.
Angus Friboi cuts provide exclusive flavor and tenderness because of their uniform fat distribution and marbling, attesting to the importance of the premium meat production practices the company has adopted. “Quality is part of a process that begins during breeding and end with the technical used when the animal is slaughtered and in our industrial processes”, said Alexandre Jaeger, a director at JBS Carnes. In addition to gold for the Brazilian cut, JBS Australia was highlighted in the bronze category with meat from the British breed.
The World Steak Challenge is produced by William Reed, a company that organizes several other well-known international events, like the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. As part of the process to select the best beef cuts in the world, the meat is evaluated by a jury of specialists, butchers and chefs who analyze the meat in its raw state and again after it has been barbecued.
