Sao Paulo, September 05, 2018 – Seara placed two products on the podium at the Fi Innovation Awards. The Seara Rotisserie range won the Most Innovative Food Product category for 2018, the biggest innovation award for Latin America’s ingredients, supplements, food and beverage industries. Seara DaGranja’s dishes took third spot in the same category.
As people increasingly turn to meals that come closer to a natural meal, Seara unveiled two innovations this year. The first, Seara Rotisserie, was the first Brazilian food company to launch this type of meal in the country. It is the first and only range of chilled ready meals in Brazil using Power Vac technology, which creates a powerful vacuum to conserve meal freshness and flavor without the need to add preservatives, colorings or flavorings. The dishes, which can be stored in a refrigerator, are easy to heat in the microwave and are ready to eat when the packaging whistles, or within four minutes. The range includes five meal options: fusilli al sugo, penne calabrese, chicken with rice and creamed corn, chicken stroganoff with rice and cubed pork leg with barbecue sauce and rice.
The second big innovation are the Seara DaGranja dishes that offer 100% natural and seasoned cuts of chicken in practical packaging, which can be put straight in the over from the freezer. The range includes three options: chicken legs with garlic and onion, chicken breast in pesto sauce and chicken thighs with mixed peppers. They are made using fresh, natural ingredients. The Seara DaGranja range offers products made with lots of care and chicken bred using no antibiotics or hormones. The poultry are feed 100% vegetable feed and receive animal wellbeing certification. This is also to help provide consumers with the best possible meals as part of a 100% natural and very tasty product.

The Fi Innovation Awards are organized by FiSA (Food ingredients South America), the biggest food ingredient industry in Latin America, which offers some of the best solutions available in terms of health, organic and natural ingredients. The award was given out in five categories this year, with three winners in each: Most Innovative Ingredient, Most Innovative Functional Ingredient, Most Innovative Product, Most Innovative Functional Product and – a new category this year – the Most Innovative Food Supplement.
