FRIBOI’S SÃO MIGUEL DO GUAPORÉ (RO) PLANT HOSTS NELORE QUALITY CIRCUIT STAGE

The event will take place on June 21 and 22 and more than 900 animals are expected

 

Sao Paulo, May 21, 2019 – Friboi’s São Miguel do Guaporé (RO) plant is hosting the 3rd phase of the 2019 Nelore Quality Circuit. The event, which is being held on May 21 and 22, is being organized by Friboi alongside the Brazilian Nelore Breeders’ Association (ACNB), with support from Matsuda Sementes e Nutrição Animal.

 

More than 900 animals will be assessed over the two days of the event, which is organized to help improve the breed’s genetics and meat quality. “We expect the results to confirm the high quality of animals produced in the region, particularly in terms of their age, weight and finishing fact”, said Fábio Dias, Friboi’s Farmer Relations director. “The circuit is a great opportunity to showcase the quality of regional production on a national stage”, he added.

 

The Nelore Quality Circuit has been sponsored by the Nelore Association since 1999 and this is the first time Friboi has been a co-sponsor. This will double the scale of the event, which will now have 23 stages across 10 states and will evaluate approximately 20 thousand carcasses. This is the biggest edition of the event since it began, 20 years ago. The following phase is scheduled for May 31 and June 1 in the city of Redenção (PA).

 

All livestock breeders are invited to take part in the Nelore Quality Circuit and ACNB members will have an opportunity to slaughter animals using the Friboi Natural Nelore Protocol, which offers bonuses of up to R$ 10.50 per arroba. “This was a positive partnership for everybody involved, because it increases profitability while also helping to strengthen the Nelore and the Brazilian livestock industry. Everyone is a winner: breeders, industry, consumers and the country”, said Nabih Amin El Aouar, President of the ACNB.
