Due Diligence System is a success at JBS


The supplier reputational assessment tool performed more than 9,000 analyzes in 2019.

​​JBS implemented the due diligence system, in partnership with an international consultancy. The tool aims to provide a reputational assessment of suppliers through data from companies that are automatically crossed with public agency databases, internal lists, search tools, international embargo lists and other items. The evaluated third parties who present any non-compliance are automatically blocked and undergo a second check procedure by the Compliance area.

Thus, in the last year, 9,486 analyzes were performed using the software, including not only the evaluation of the suppliers' history, but also of their respective partners, providing greater reliability in the hiring of business partners.

“With the system improvement, we expect to have less human interaction in the analyzes, increase in the number of evaluations per month, cleaning up the registrations of third parties already registered with the Company, expanding the number of third parties evaluated in order to be more and more assertive in less helping businesses to make decisions in a safer way “, emphasizes Compliance analyst, Wanessa Ribeiro.
